Hil Hernandez

Hil Yesenia Hernandez Escobar gained fame after winning the 2006 Miss Earth contest. Hailing from Castro, Chile, Hil Hernandez was born in the year 2004. Her venture into the fashion forum was not novel for her, when she had entered the Miss Earth contest. She had gained the experience by participating in a number of fashion shows before coveting the Miss Earth title. Prior to her winning the title in 2006, Nataly Chilet of Chile was a top eight finalist at the Miss Earth 2005 pageant.

Hil Hernandez had gained the experience of modeling by venturing into a number of fashion shows, where she came a close second or third. Hil Hernandez participated in the Miss World Chile 2003 in which she was a finalist and Miss Earth Chile 2004 where she was the first runner-up. Hil represented Chile in Miss Model of the World where she reached till the semi-finals and South American Queen. It was these contests that gave her the kind of boost to go ahead and win the 2006 title of the third most important international beauty pageant after Miss Universe and Miss World.
