Unnur Birna

Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir of Iceland is the holder of Miss World 2005 title. She was crowned Miss World on December 10, 2005 in the Beauty Crown Theatre located in the Chinese beach city of Sanya. Unnur's reign lasted only nine months because the pageant was scheduled for September 2006. Unnur is the third Miss World from Iceland. She was also Miss Iceland 2005.

Brief Biography
Unnur Birna was born on May 25, 1984 in Reykjavík town of Iceland. Her mother, Unnur Steinsson, was the Miss Iceland pageant winner in 1983 as well as a finalist at the 1983 Miss World pageant. Unnur was always a brilliant student and wanted to become an anthrologist. She studied anthropology at the University of Iceland and now plans to study law.

She regularly participated in extra-curricular activities. She is the chairman of the college social club and also takes classes of dance. Her hobbies are acting, singing, dancing, snow-boarding, hiking, camping, horsemanship and choreography. Modeling was not a career she dreamt of. However, a lady of versatile talent, when she entered the pageant contests, she was a huge welcome. Millions became her fans after she won the Miss World title.
