Sandton Convention Centre, the multi-purpose
convention and exhibition centre, is the venue of Miss World 2008.
Located in Johannesberg, the commercial hub of South Africa, it is a

Exhibition Levels
The venue has more than 22,000 sq m of convention, exhibition and
special event space. The Pavilion can itself accommodate 4,500 guests.
The Ballroom can seat 2,000 banquet patrons. The two exhibition levels
have a combined floor space of 11,000 sq m. The twelve storey structure
is designed to host truly global level events.

Thanks to its size and location in the heart of the city, Sandton
Convention Centre creates business for nearby Sandton City and Nelson
Mandela Square shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, car hire companies,
tour groups and a multitude of services. More than 6,000 hotel rooms are
