Natalie Glebova, a Russian Canadian beauty was crowned the Miss Universe 2005 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ms Natalie Glebova won the Miss Universe 2005 title in June 2005 at Bangkok in Thailand. The young beauty, who represented Canada at the event, was born in Tuapse, Russia on November 11, 1981. Ms Glebova is a trained gymnast and has won many regional Gymnastics championship. She is also a trained classical pianist. Prior to contesting the Miss Universe, Ms Glebova was a model by profession. The 5 ft 11 inch Russian-Canadian earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology Management and Marketing at Ryerson University in Toronto.

The Miss Universe 2005 is now happily married and settled with ace tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan, whom he met during the 2006 Thailand Open. The couple married in Bangkok, Thailand on November 29, 2007. Glebova in June 2005 had become the second Canadian national to win the Miss Universe title. She was crowned by the outgoing Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins of Australia. In her year long reign as Miss Universe, she became an active advocate of HIV/AIDS awareness.

The Miss Universe 2005 widely traveled across the globe after earning the coveted title. Ms Glebova also attended the G8 Summit in New York City on August 11, 2005. In November in the same year she also came to India to attend the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit and traveled widely within the cities of India for a week to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS. The Miss Universe 2005 is also endorses few brands and industries. From 2006, she along with her husband Paradorn Srichaphan and golfer Vijay Singh became the brand ambassador for Thailand based beer brewers Singha Corp. owners of Boon Rawd Brewery. She has also been endorsing the products of BSC cosmetics by ICC International and also became a brand ambassador for Better Vision, an eyewear company in Thailand. In July 2006, she crowned Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico as Miss Universe 2006.
