Here is a brief introduction about the Judges for Miss Universe 2008 contest.

Miss Universe Judges

Like each year, the organizing body of Miss Universe 2008 has announced the ‘Preliminary Judges’ for this year too. These include Rosalina Tranlydster, Adel Chabbi, Leigh Rossini and Dean Mcflicker. These people are first going to judge the beauty and talent of the participants on 6 and 7 July. They will have an opportunity to interview all the 80 candidates, one by one. Then, 8th July is the date when presentation will take place. There, the participants will be judged in swimsuits, under the scrutiny of these judges. Thereafter, the pageant wear round will be held at Crown Convention Center in Vietnam. The judges will then choose their ‘Top 15’ candidates who will compete for the finals, on 13th July. A brief biography of the panel judges is given below.

Adel Chabbi
This France-born man has over 23 years of experience as a hair dresser and has worked with the likes of Alicia Silverstone, Lauren Hutton and Jessica Lange. Adel is expert in hair extensions and is also a television celebrity. He has participated in TV shows like ‘Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,’ and ‘Today Show’ of NBC. He has also styled models for a number of major fashion and beauty magazines, including French Vogue, Glamour, Elle, and the like.

Rosalina Tranlydster
A Vietnam-born lady, Rosalina Tran Lydster has a huge experience in designing. She is well known designer and makes designs ranging from minimalist to extravagant. A San Francisco State University graduate, she went to study fashion at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Rosalina has designed for Superman Returns. Apart from that, she worked as a co-designer for the official Miss Universe Crown for the 2008 pageant. Her only aim in designing is to make her clients express themselves.

Dean Mcflicker
Mcflicker, the Vice President of NBC Primetime Special Projects, has many other jobs to do. He also handles production, direction and choreography. So far, he has promoted ‘The Biggest Loser,’ ‘ER,’ ‘Law & Order,’ ‘Grease: You're The One That I Want,’ ‘The Apprentice,’ ‘America's Got Talent, ‘American Dreams,’ ‘American Gladiators,’ ‘Deal or No Deal’ and ‘The Singing Bee’. He has also done choreography for ‘Upfront’ (Radio City Music Hall), ‘Sha Bang’ (Lincoln Center), ‘Gypsy of the Year’ (Virginia Theater), etc. Along with these, he has coordinated with Tina Turner, Kool & the Gang, Ray Charles, The Temptations, The Pointer Sisters, Debbie Reynolds, and Carol Channing in their musical concerts, the world over.

Leigh Rossini
This Yankee started her career as hairdresser way back in the year 1993, with Louis Licari Color Group. She used to shampoo the hair of some of the most influential people in the world. Later on, in the year 1995, she left New York for New Mexico, where she earned her degree in Communications. After finishing her university, she came back, joined Louis Licari Salon in New York City as Mr. Licari’s personal assistant and soon after, became Louis Licari Salon's first in-house Publicist. Rossini is well known in contemporary New York in hair styling and her name is counted with Mr Licari and his team in New York and Beverly Hills. Also, she has been the main stalwart in publicity of the company.
